Who Must Follow USCG Drug and Alcohol Testing Rules

USCG testing regulations apply to:

  • Individuals working aboard vessels under the authority of a merchant mariner credential

  • Personnel on U.S. owned vessels that must be operated by credentialed mariners

  • Commercial vessel crew members performing safety sensitive duties
